It’s fall now. For most, the season means pumpkin spice everything. However, I rather trade the pumpkin-flavored drinks for chai. I love me a good chai tea. So when I stumbled into this cute coffee shop amidst a frustrating commute into work last week, I also fell into a new journey: finding the best chai tea and chai lattes in Atlanta.
I remembered seeing ChocoLaté when I would run into the Publix off Shallowford Road on my way into work. I figured they might have something for me to sip on as I headed in. They did.
I was actually surprised to see that they had several chai options: iced spiced chai frappe, vanilla chai, chocolate chai, etc. I went in an asked for an iced chai and about three minutes later, voila.
I took one sip and instantly forgot that it was going to take me another 30 minutes to get to work. The iced chai has a very good blend of milk and tea. However, if you wait a little bit, the flavor goes away once you’ve drank half.
On my second trip there, the barista told me there is a chai drink that’s almost like a milkshake that I’ve been meaning to try. Beyond the drink, they have a variety of pastries and bagels too. And the atmosphere of the coffee shop is quite charming. They have a small outside patio and of course, free wifi. It’d make for a quaint meeting spot in Chamblee. I’m sure their Decatur location is just as nice.
Stay tuned as I continue my trek to find the best chai tea in Atlanta. xo.
