I gave up sweets and French fries for Lent. I know. It was hard. But it was somewhere around that time when I spotted this place on my way to church. I made a mental note to check it out in April.
And I did. Best. Decision. Ever.
Donut Worry, which is located on East Crogan Street in Lawrenceville, has only been open for six months but seems to be pretty popular every time I stop by. Feeling very altruistic the Friday before Memorial Day weekend, I decided to bring in a dozen of assorted donuts into my coworkers that did not take the day off. Everyone seemed to enjoy them as well. And they have more than just donuts. I was particularly excited to see that they make kolaches, or klobasneks as they’re more accurately called. (I genuinely treasure any place that offers them, to be honest.) Their breakfast burritos are very good as well. If you’re into bacon, sausage, or potatoes, you should be able to find one that will fill you up.
They have a frequent visitor program that awards you free donuts and other neat perks for coming often. When I went in today, I earned my first free glazed donut. I will definitely honor that during my next trip.
So if you happen to be roaming around Gwinnett County before lunchtime, check out Donut Worry. You won’t regret it.
